You can now get the latest news about Mr. Gay World Southern Africa from its official LGBTQ+ internet radio media partner, GaySA Radio.
Mr. Gay World Southern Africa is the local chapter of Mr. Gay World that was recently hosted in Spain. Local entrant AleXander Steyn finished fifth overall in this year’s event.
Entries are currently open for delegates from Southern Africa to participate in Mr. Gay World Southern Africa 2017 and the grand finale is slated for 23 September in the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria. The overall winner will represent Southern Africa at the 2018 Mr. Gay World.
GaySA Radio has announced that it is an official media partner for the local event and you will be able to stay up to date with all the developments through GaySA Radio’s various streams. GaySA Radio will provide extensive coverage of the event, as well as marketing and advertising campaigns leading up to the final in September.
GaySA Radio’s Station Manager, Hendrik Baird, said: “We fully support LGBTQ+ initiatives like this one, as it leads to more visibility for our community. We are confident that we can contribute to the success of this event.”
Starting on 20 July between 14h00 and 15h00, you will be able to every week listen to an hour-long feature. This feature will cover various aspects of the event, which includes behind the scenes insights, interviews with the delegates, spotlights on the participating artists, as well as interviews with the sponsors who support the event. Once the feature has been broadcast on the GaySA Radio audio stream, it will be made available in various other formats so as to disseminate the information far and wide.
GaySA Radio will get up close and personal with all the delegates, so that you can get to know them better. This should be useful for when you vote for your favorite. You will also be able to listen to the live stream from the main event if you are unable to attend the finals in Pretoria.
An event of this nature needs sponsorships and advertisers to make it a success, and GaySA Radio will be actively helping the organisers of Mr. Gay World Southern Africa find such supporters, while offering discounted advertising packages to them, adding value and added exposure to these supporters.
You will soon start hearing much more about this exciting event from GaySA Radio.
